Penngrove lies in the foothills of Sonoma Mountain, just 9 miles south of Santa Rosa, the largest city in Sonoma County, and 35 miles north of San Francisco. A small town of about 4,000 residents, Penngrove boasts country living with urban amenities in its backyard. The Luther Burbank Center for the Performing Arts, the Santa Rosa Symphony, the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University, Sonoma County ARTrails, and a multitude of galleries and museums provide cultural entertainment. The Russian River and a variety of Federal, State and local parks provide thousands of acres for hiking, mountain biking, camping, boating, and other outdoor activities.
